The Tekk Group is delighted to be an official partner One Family, a UK registered charity (1119989) that seeks to revolutionise the way we tackle the world’s biggest issues – harnessing the potential of technology and innovation to accelerate social change and bringing people together as one family. One Family has a number of projects around the world that are tackling human trafficking, supporting refugees, fighting hunger and providing clean water to communities that need it the most.
In 2019, our wish is to lead our colleagues and clients to raise awareness and much needed funds to prevent the trafficking of young girls and women across the Nepal-India border, one of the busiest slave trafficking routes in the world today. Estimated to yield over £30 billion, human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry worldwide.
- £520 Rescue and repatriation from India back to Nepal for a victim of human trafficking.
- £600 (per year) To provide shelter, food, clothing and healthcare for a survivor of domestic abuse, exploitation or human trafficking.
- £135 Income generation training for survivors of domestic abuse, exploitation or human trafficking.
- £250 Temporary shelter and emergency healthcare for a rescued victim of human trafficking
- £850 (per year) Antiretroviral medicine and general healthcare for survivors of human trafficking with HIV/Aids.
- £220 (per year) One year admission at Teresa Academy, providing full time education for children of human trafficking survivors, and young survivors of human trafficking and domestic abuse.
- £700 Legal support for human trafficking, including legal representation and investigation
